Client: The Fitzwilliam Museum Collaborators: Cambridge City Child and Family Centres
Our six month residency at The Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge saw Play Build Play running an extended series of exploratory early years family workshops in the museum galleries, as well as producing the month long summer play pavilion and creating a parting gift of new sensory play bags for families to discover at the welcome desk. During the workshops we used carefully curated and created loose-parts, playing alongside and up-close to the exhibits, as well as in all the museum's magnificent nooks and crannies! Sessions began at one end of the museum and traveled through the museum to settle in different galleries, transforming and enriching the museum experience for families and other visitors alike.
