Client:Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge
We were delighted to be invited back to the Fitzwilliam Museum for the 2025 Summer Play Pavilion, again transforming the lawns in front of the museum into a bountiful field of play. This year inspired by scenes of nature in the museum's collection, we invited families to create new habitats, exploring themes of identity and interpretations of the world around us.
Six days a week, over August, the Summer Play Pavilion is open for families of all ages to play, rest and connect within a curated collection of loose parts play equipment and own own painted images and constructed soft shape. Play Build Play provided concept design and development, training and interpretation notes for facilitators, and paired proprietary play equipment with beautiful, hand-made loose parts.
