Client:Fitzwilliam Museum Collaborators:Museum of Classical Archaeology
As part of our residency at the Fitzwilliam Museum, University of Cambridge we hosted the relaunch of the Summer Play Pavilion, transforming the lawns in front of the museum into a field of play. Working in collaboration with the Museum of Classical Archaeology, we identified a range of active, sporting figures from across the two museum's collections and translated them into a series of 12 child sized figures, ready to occupy the lawns and give permission to families to play.
Six days a week over August the Summer Play Pavilion was hosted by facilitators who invited families to play with a curated collection of loose parts designed to get people actively participating and creating their own sporting and cultural activities to share and enjoy together.
