Session Theme: Materials
Time: 2.5hrs
Aim – Conversations, observations and documentation about materials and how the choices we make with them can affect how we use and feel about spaces around us.

New equipment:
Mystery buckets
Texture mat
Hard an soft immersive play (foam and timber off cuts)
Adjective magnets
Activity
Materials wall hangings
Outcomes
Kids – Use the buckets, experiment with the foam and wood pieces
Parents – Look at texture board and start to think about the space, what actions will happen in it and the role different materials might play in the design and build
Play Build Play – Support adults to start to think about materials and design
Other Staff – Continue conversations about creating a nursery.
