Created for National Play Day celebrations at the Young V&A, our Pattern Boxes play kit is now in regular use at the award winning museum in Bethnal Green, East London. Inspired by the fantastic patterned tiled floor in the 'Town Square' at the museum, as well as early Galt toys created by Fredun Shapur from the V&A collection, these boxes and accompanying loose parts are an invitation to explore pattern and building together.
Its always an honour to see what gets created with this kit, and we especially love seeing how children use different textured loose parts as carefully chosen decorative features after an initial excitement of building towers, shops, dens and dinner parties with the boxes.
